Exterior detail questions.
How long does an exterior detail take?
Most exterior details take 1.5 to 3 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. Larger vehicles or heavily soiled paint can take longer — we schedule a firm arrival window and finish time.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Street Standard Detailing is fully mobile. We come to your driveway, apartment, or office anywhere in Des Moines, Altoona, Ankeny, Waukee, West Des Moines, and surrounding communities.
Do I need to provide water and electricity?
Yes. Mobile appointments require access to an outdoor water spigot and a standard 120V electrical outlet at the service location.
Can I add a ceramic coating later?
Absolutely. Ceramic coating is available as an add-on and can be scheduled after an exterior detail once we assess the paint condition.
Do you clean wheels and tires?
Yes. Every exterior detail includes cleaning the wheel faces, barrels, tire sidewalls, and wheel wells, plus tire dressing for a finished look.
What's included in an exterior detail?
Foam hand wash, two-bucket contact wash, bug removal, wheels and tires, wheel wells, door jambs, exterior glass and mirrors, hand dry with premium microfibers, spray sealant, tire and trim dressing, and exhaust tip cleaning where applicable.
