← ResourcesHow Much Does Car Detailing Cost in Des Moines? (2026 Prices)
7 min read · Updated 2026-08-11
Detailing prices in the Des Moines metro vary more than most people expect, because two vehicles that look similar can take very different amounts of time. Vehicle size, interior condition and how long it has been since the last detail all move the number.
Below are Street Standard Detailing's actual starting prices, what each tier includes, and the specific things that push a quote up. Every price is for fully mobile service — we bring water, power and equipment to your driveway anywhere in the metro.
Street Standard detailing prices by service
These are starting prices for a coupe or sedan. Larger vehicles move up a tier.
- —Exterior Detail — starting at $129
- —Interior Detail — starting at $179
- —Full Detail (interior + exterior) — starting at $209
- —Premium Full Detail — starting at $289
- —Maintenance Detail (existing clients) — $140
- —Ceramic Coating — starting at $999
How vehicle size changes the price
Street Standard uses simple starting-price pricing. A Full Detail is $209 whether it's a sedan, a crossover or a large SUV or truck. Exterior is $129 and Interior is $179 on the same starting basis. Oversized vehicles or heavy condition — pet hair, smoke, spills — are quoted before booking.
What actually makes a quote go up
Beyond size, the biggest driver is interior condition. Heavy pet hair, spilled drinks set into carpet, sand, smoke odor and construction dust all add labor time.
- —Pet hair embedded in cloth seats or cargo areas
- —Stains and odor that require extraction rather than surface cleaning
- —Long gaps between details, where contamination has bonded to paint
- —Add-ons like engine bay cleaning or headlight restoration
Is mobile detailing more expensive?
No. Our mobile pricing is the same as shop pricing would be, and there is no travel fee inside the Des Moines metro. You are not paying extra for the convenience — you are just not losing half a day to drop-off and pickup.
